ABI prism 7900HT Sequence Detection System

Roche LightCycler® 480 II Real-time PCR is most commonly used to quantify DNA or cDNA templates by monitoring the DNA amplification rate at each cycle of PCR, so it is also called quantitative PCR (qPCR).  Real-time PCR is also capable of performing qualitative analysis for genetic variation.


Platform Service

Two systems, Roche LightCycler® 480 II (LC480 II) and ABI 7900HT Fast (7900HT), are available at our centre for performing qPCR runs and they have different excitation spectra and detection channels.
