Abstract:

The new Genome-Wide Human SNP Array 6.0 features more than 1.8 million markers of genetic variation, including SNPs as well as probes for the detection of copy number variation (CNV). The Array allows researchers to design highly powered association studies with large sample sizes in both initial scan and replication phases, thereby significantly increasing the overall genetic power. Exon 1.0 ST Arrays combine a novel array design strategy with the highest density array manufacturing capability. Both gene-level and exon-level expression profiling can be performed on the whole-genome scale using a single array. Tiling Arrays are the effective tools for discovering novel RNA transcripts or mapping sites of protein/DNA interaction in chromatin immunoprecipitation experiments. These three array systems and applications will be discussed.
