Abstract:

The development of techniques and methods for protein purification has been an essential pre-requisite for many of the advancements made in life sciences or medical research studies. The specialist would provide an unparalleled wealth of knowledge no matter on small-scale manual purifications/screening or large numbers of samples by chromatography systems.
In this workshop, the specialist would like to give a presentation on maximization of purity and yield of Histidine-tagged proteins. It includes how to use different imidazole concentration, metal ions and more purification steps to optimize His-tagged protein purification. Meanwhile, the techniques for refolding proteins from inclusion bodies would also be discussed.
