For modern qPCR and genetic variation analysis, the Roche LightCycler® 480 System offers outstanding speed and accuracy, providing you with a broad range of versatile data analysis methods that range from advanced relative quantification with several reference genes, probe- and dye based high resolution melting to multiple plate analysis.

The presentation will give an overview of recent developments on this platform and applications in gene expression profiling, discovery of genetic variation as well as pathogen detection and identification. Presented examples include human and plant genetics, oncology and ready-to-use pathway-specific assays. An outlook will be provided on a new fully automated, high-speed 96-sample template preparation platform, and on the LightCycler® 1536 System, a novel instrument ready for miniaturized, parallelized and digital qPCR.
