Abstract:

RNAi screening using synthetic siRNA libraries has become a popular tool in elucidating gene functional pathways and in target identification. Successful RNAi screening applications are based on certain key factors. siRNA design has to consider not only the potency, but also the specificity of gene silencing. A major challenge is to address off-target effects based on miRNA effects. In addition, optimization of transfection conditions and experimental set up, as well as the choice of appropriate controls, play an important role. Learn the RNAi screening essentials and find out more about the latest tools developed by QIAGEN to enable broad application of RNAi screening and advancing microRNA research.
