Abstract:

The Attune™ Acoustic Focusing Cytometer is the first cytometer to use sound waves to precisely align cells at all sample rates. This new technology brings significant performance advantages compared to traditional flow cytometry that uses hydrodynamic focusing. This breakthrough acoustic focusing technology allows users to rapidly acquire data from dilute samples and to exquisitely control cell transit times through instrument lasers. This results in enhanced sensitivity without a reduction in throughput. As a result, the Attune™ Cytometer excels at rare event detection and provides lower signal variation (CVs) in all applications. Data is provided to compare results with conventional cytometers using hydrodynamic focusing. This presentation will also describe the design and highlight applications of the Attune™ Cytometer complemented by the newest Molecular Probes® cytometry reagents.
