Abstract:

The field of human genetics is undergoing a transformation with the continual evolution of high-throughput technologies. Learn more about the recent advances in instrumentation and applications that are spurring new discoveries across a wide variety of diseases and traits. In this seminar, we will discuss different areas of research into genetic disease, from whole-genome approaches to targeted and focused approaches to epigenetics and expression studies. We will also discuss different disease types and evaluate which study designs have proven most effective thus far. Lastly, we plan to cover the synergies of arrays and sequencing that make for efficient and competitive study designs.

ALL ARE WELCOME

Kind Reminder: Please take off your lab coat before coming to the seminar.
