Abstract:

Bio-Plex® suspension array system utilizes xMAP technology to permit quantifying up to 100 different targets in 25ul sample. Targets available off-the-shelf include various cytokines, chemokines, growth factor, cell signaling and cancer marker from human, mouse and rat. It also allows user to customize and develop their own assay.

Th17 cytokine has been found in relation to various diseases include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Psoriasis, Lupus, antimicrobial immunity, cancer and transplant rejection in the past five years. It becomes a hot topic and shares over 17,500 citations in the past 3 years. The detail of Th17 pathway will be reviewed. Usage of Bio-Rad ready-to-use assay for measurement of 5+1 soluble proteins involved in the T-helper cell type 17 immune response pathway will also be introduced.

Cancer is the top 4 deadliest disease today. Different cancer mechanism and insights have been constantly discovered and proposed by various scientists. Recent publications in cancer mechanism and study of ovarian and pancreatic cancer will be reviewed. Usage of Bio-plex human cancer biomarker assays for measurement of 34 cancer biomarkers will be introduced.
