Understanding the genetic makeup of tumor is critical for underlying cancer biology. The onset and proliferation of tumors is the result of an accumulation of genomic aberrations. The key of fighting cancer through better therapeutics is a better understanding of the basic biology of this disease at a cellular and molecular level. Here, we provide a pivotal and validated tool for studying exosomes (microvesicles secreted by tumor cells were reported to be involved in spread of oncogene).Deep sequencing of thousands of cancer genes by Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) with Ion AmpliSeq panels provides important individual information regarding tumor development and progression, and prediction of personalized cancer therapies in the future. Moreover, validated workflow in real time PCR platform for gene profiling in single cell and detection of rare event in heterogenous population were established to understand the complexity of transcriptional variability of individual cells in cancer research.
