Mr and Mrs Oliver J Wong donated HK$1.3 million to the Faculty of Medicine in support of a core facility, iScan genotyping, methylation and expression profiling in the Centre for Genomic Sciences, for genome research undertaken by Professor Karen Lam, Professor H F Tse and Professor P C Sham, and other investigators.

On 19 December 2012, to express our deep gratitude for their generous donation, a simple but sincere appreciation event was organized. We are grateful to Mrs Wong and Ms May Wong, the donor’s daughter, for taking so much valuable time to visit the Centre and for allowing us to introduce the capabilities of iScan and other core facilities in the event.
