CGS Workshop: Linux for Biologists

CGS Workshop: Linux for Biologists
with hands-on training

Workshop Descriptions

Linux is the operating system of choice for bioinformatics due to its powerful command-line tools. This workshop focuses on helping biologists to understand its capabilities and applications. Knowledge gained in this workshop would provide a starting point for bioinformatics analysis and would facilitate communications with other scientists. Typical data formats from Next-Generation Sequencing analysis would be used for teaching and hands-on exercise.

Registration Deadline: 4-Feb-2016
Registration Result Announcement: 5-Feb-2016
Workshop Date: 22-Feb-2016

Fee: HK$100
Cost include course materials and designated computer usage
