Have you ever wondered how data science contributes to cutting-edge biomedical research? This 6-week program is an exciting opportunity for students or soon-to-be graduates who like big data and are looking to pursue a career in bioinformatics. A team of scientists and bioinformaticians will accompany you and offer advice on your suitability to enter this challenging field. Participants with great potential are guaranteed job offer!

Who Should Attend

Those who are keen on pursuing a career in Bioinformatics or considering pursuing an advanced degree (e.g. MPhil or PhD) related to Biomedical Sciences would benefit most from the program.

Program Includes

  • Introductory lectures by bioinformatics professionals
  • Chance to explore Linux OS, HPC cluster, programming and data generated by cutting-edge sequencing technology
  • Hands-on bioinformatics projects on real world scientific problems
  • Presentation of projects and insightful feedbacks from supervisors at the end of program

Candidate Profile

  • Soon-to-be graduates receiving at least a Bachelor’s degree or above, OR
  • Students in their final year of study, AND
  • With background in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline
